Teachers´ profile development is a critical factor for managing learning activities in universities. In response to that, there´s the commitment from higher education teachers to enhance their skills to address technological change, use digital media, and implement didactic strategies that place their students at the center of their development. These issues are specific challenges in universities´ scenario, where education has become democratized, virtual channels have gained prominence due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and institutional and teaching competitiveness is higher than ever. University teachers need to promote their flexibility, emotional intelligence, and lifelong learning to become facilitators of creative educational initiatives that incorporate technological resources, stimulate motivation, and enable knowledge construction. This research paper presents three proposals with different approaches as products of some courses taken in the master's program: a reflection on the urgency of reinforcing competencies in university teachers through digital transformation, a didactic strategy supported by ludic methodologies to strengthen leadership in students, and the design of an employability workshop as a space for experiential learning and collaboration. The title encompasses the unique perspective of the proposals. However, all of them share the premise of an unquestionable reality: the need for teacher competency development as an indispensable requirement of higher education´s learning process.
