Introduction: Rotator cuff injury affects more than 30% of people over 60 years of age. Although physical therapy plays a crucial role in recovery, insufficient scientific basis highlights the need for further research. Improving the physical therapy treatment process is vital to advance clinical practice and promote the well-being of the affected population. Implementation of customized and appropriate physical therapy treatment procedures is essential to successful recovery after surgery. Objectives: To describe the considerations for the implementation of physical therapy procedures in the treatment of a post-operative patient for rotator cuff rupture in San Borja - Lima, during the months of January to June 2023. Description of the work: The considerations for the application of physical therapy procedures supported by scientific evidence for the treatment of a post-operated patient for rotator cuff rupture were divided into four phases, each one grouped in their respective weeks, with the use of four fundamental strategies: Cryotherapy, Electrotherapy, Manual Therapy and Therapeutic Exercises. Conclusion: Based on scientific evidence, the considerations for the application of physical therapy procedures allowed to improve shoulder functionality, range of motion, reduce pain and strengthen the affected muscles, ensuring optimal responses and preventing future problems, aimed at improving the quality of life and autonomy of the patient.
