The present study work for professional sufficiency shows the impact of a mentor figure in the implementation of induction process for operators of a footwear company in Lima. The diagnosis stage, although evidence was found that there were various problems for which a employee left the company, the Human Development Resource identify could work to improve the induction process that had already been implemented, which one was not being done properly. Once the problem was defined, the intervention was carried out, which is summarized in the creation of the mentor profile or called in the present work "Older brother", followed by the definition of functions of the older brother, the identification of the employee on charged and their training, to finally begins with the execution, evaluation and monitoring of the process. In the results obtained, it was possible to show that the new employees were satisfied with the induction process and with the accompaniment of the assigned older brother. In addition, they considered that the induction facilitated their adaptation to the organization, likewise, the employees who were chosen as brothers, the older ones considered that they had helped to retain the staff, thus contributing to the organization. Finally, the conclusions indicate that reinforcing the induction process with the figure of the older brother allows the new collaborator, who has completed his accompaniment stage, to have the necessary skills and knowledge to adequately perform his position independently.
