This is a secondary basis analysis, and the main objective was to identify the relationship between adherence to treatment, depressive symptomatology, and sociodemographic factors in patients with arterial hypertension between 60 and 90 years of age in the Puno region. The design corresponds to a quantitative correlational study and the sampling method was non-probabilistic. The study included 105 participants with a confirmed diagnosis of hypertension living in the Puno region among men and women. The sample was collected from 15 health facilities of both MINSA and EsSalud. The instruments used were the CESD-R scale, the Hill Bone Scale and a self-made socio demographic form. The results showed a significant relationship between depressive symptomatology, adherence to treatment and sociodemographic factors such as sex, age, residence, people with whom they live and employment status.
