Background: Breast cancer is a fundamental public health problem, although we have accessible screening tests such as physical breast examination and mammography, its detection according to some studies is influenced by socioeconomic factors. Objectives: Determine the factors associated with the detection of breast cancer in Peruvian women according to ENDES 2021. Materials and methods: The study carried out is observational, analytical, quantitative, and cross-sectional. From secondary analysis of data whose source is the ENDES 2021. Results: 15,937 women between the ages of 30 and 50 were analyzed, showing that 64.35% were women under 40 years of age and that they came from a rural area in 69 .82% of cases. The factors associated with the detection of breast cancer by physical examination were having origin from the jungle or mountains, having a complete primary or incomplete secondary education level, and the low educational level of the couple. The factors associated with the detection of breast cancer by mammography were age under 40 years, low wealth index, low educational level and the couple being between 40 and 60 years old. Conclusions: The detection of breast cancer through physical examination of the breast and mammography is associated with sociodemographic and educational factors of women, it is also associated with factors related to the couple; It is suggested to promote health policies that improve access to breast cancer detection in those women with associated factors according to our study.
