The research identifies the relationship between state-trait anxiety and social behaviors during the start of the 2021 virtual school year of the COVID-19 pandemic. The design was correlational, a primary database was used consisting of 150 schoolchildren between 8 and 11 years old who attended virtual primary classes in the Ate district. The State-Trait Anxiety Self-Assessment Questionnaire in Children and the Social Skills Questionnaire of the Ministry of Health - Peru were applied. For data analysis, the normality test was performed, showing that the data are non-parametric, therefore, for correlation, Spearman's Rho was used. The results express a low positive relationship between State Anxiety and Social Behavior r=0.21* p<0.5; and a very low negative relationship between Trait Anxiety and Social Behavior r=-.097. The most significant relationships that were evident were between Trait Anxiety and the dimension of Skills related to communication r=-0.166* p<0.5, the relationship between State Anxiety and stress management skills r=0.215** p< 0.01.
