Objective: Determine the level of satisfaction of the primary caregiver on the education provided by the nurse on the needs of palliative care patients at the National Institute of Children’s Health - 2022. Material and Method: Quantitative approach study, descriptive, cross-sectional design cross. The sample was made up of 125 primary caregivers of patients in the Palliative Care Unit who met the selection criteria. For data collection, the survey was used as a technique and the questionnaire developed by the researchers as an instrument. Validity was obtained through expert judgment: content validity (0.001), construct validity (0.002) and criterion validity (0.002). Reliability was through a pilot test; Cronbach’s Alpha had the value of (0.810). Results: In general, the level “satisfied” prevailed among primary caregivers regarding the education provided by the nurse about the needs of palliative care patients (88.8%). Furthermore, the dimensions that presented this same level were: physical needs (88.8%) and emotional needs (79.2%). However, for spiritual needs the level “neither satisfied nor dissatisfied” prevailed with (60%). Conclusion: The majority of primary caregivers presented a level of Satisfaction regarding the education provided by the nurse about the needs of patients in palliative care.
