Background: Tuberculosis continues to be a public health problem in Perú. Knowledge is essential to obtain a favorable attitude towards tuberculosis prevention measures and therefore to implement self – care behavior. Objective: Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about tuberculosis and attitudes in residents of San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima – 2022. Materials and methods: The research use the quantitative method, with a non – experimental design, descriptive and correlational, cross – sectional. Two questionnaires were applied, prior informed consent, an objective test that measures knowledge and a Likert scale to measure attitudes towards tuberculosis prevention measures. The study population includes the members of the glass of milk program, “Pueblo Pisco” committee of the Caja de Agua area in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho. A descriptive and inferential analysis will be carried out. Results: It was found in relation to the level of knowledge about prevention measures, that 80% of the residents has high knowledge, 17.5% has a medium level of knowledge and only 2.5% has low knowledge. Likewise, for attitudes about tuberculosis prevention measures, it was obtained that 97.5% have favorable attitudes and only 2.5% presented unfavorable attitudes. Conclusion: The level of knowledge is directly and significantly related to attitudes about tuberculosis prevention.
