Neospora caninum is considered an important parasitic disease, because it generates economic losses in cattle causing reproductive problems such as abortions. It is considered an important disease in dairy and beef cattle, so control and diagnostic methods for immuno-vaccinal purposes are still being studied. The objective of the present study was to produce Neospora caninum antigen by cell culture with the Vero cell line from the Neospora caninum strain NC1. To this end, the foreign cell culture technique for Neospora caninum was used for the first time in our country and the FAVEZ - UPCH, observing at the beginning difficulty in the maintenance and production of the parasitic strain, biosafety and asepsis protocols were addressed of importance for the continuity of the project, ending in the stability of both cells. The production of Neospora caninum NC1 antigen was obtained, an ideal near quantity to be used as a sample in IFI. However, complete fluorescence of the tachyzoite was found after observation, but in low concentration as expected. It is suggested to complement the purification of antigen can be added the sonication method and columns to obtain a pure antigen.
