The present investigation has as initial stage, the need to diagnose or know how is the level of satisfaction of the students of the mathematics course of the General Studies cycle regarding the performance of their teachers of the Higher Technical Institution. The objective of this research is to find out if there is a relationship, for this the question that has guided the research work is: What is the relationship between the level of teaching performance and the level of satisfaction of students in the mathematics course in a Higher Technical Institution of Trujillo? The methodology used for this research due to the nature of its approach was adjusted to a quantitative investigation with a correlational descriptive design and the temporal sequence or evolution of the phenomenon under study is of the non - experimental - transversal type, the information was collected through of the application of the instrument to 179 students of the General Studies cycle of a Technical Institution. The teaching performance is measured by the students regarding the mathematics teacher through the explanation of the purposes of the session plan, as well as in the demonstration with the means and materials used for the achievement of learning. The results of the investigation allowed to verify that there is a significant correlation of 0.714 ** between the level of teaching performance and the level of student satisfaction. There was also a significant correlation between the variables and their dimensions such as the behavior of the teacher and the activities that regulate learning, as well as the satisfaction of the teaching process and satisfaction with my learning process. It is concluded that the behavior of the teacher is key to develop a teaching-learning process, considering that it is he who applies the methodological strategies that concretize the pedagogical practice and leads to the significant satisfaction of the student, attending the planning, demonstration, participation and reflection which are necessary processes for the student. The students evaluate their achievement of satisfaction that they achieve through the indicators of motivation and performance for their learning, as evidenced by the significant correlation of 0.893 ** between the level of student satisfaction and the learning regulation activities.
