This research deals with the perception of stress against the coping strategies that adolescents have, focused on stress levels and the dimensions of coping strategies. The research is raised from a basic level of a non-experimental type with a corre-lational descriptive method. 120 students, both men and women between 14 and 16 years old, from the tenth and first year of high school of a Public School in the Huaquillas-Ecuador canton participated. The instruments used: Cohen, Kamarch and Mermelstein Perceived Stress Scale and Frydenberg and Lewis Coping with Stress Scale (ACS). The results of this research present summary measures, both univariate and bivariate frequencies. Likewise, the normality test was carried out, finding a normal distribution in the stress perception variable and in 3 of its 4 di-mensions of the coping strategies variable, for which the correlations of these were made through the Pearson's test and the dimension that did not have a nor-mal distribution with Rho Spearman, which in this case was the correlation be-tween Perception of stress and intropunitive flight. These results will allow a clearer understanding of how the pandemic has affected the mental health of the students of this educational unit and how they have responded to this situation, allowing the institution to have a preventive model, in the face of new circum-stances. of which we have to live due to the pandemic in the face of the perception of stress of these adolescents.
