Introduction: COVID-19 is a global threat that has motivated the WHO and the international community to intervene vigorously and actively. This crisis is generating different levels of fear, either due to the increase in morbidity and mortality or due to the social, labor, economic and cultural implications that it entails. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of fear of COVID-19 and psychosocial risk factors in employees of a health organization in Chimbote. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional and descriptive investigation was carried out that included 277 employees of the South Pacific Network from different jobs. The Coronavirus Fear Scale (COVID-19)-Peruvian Version and the Questionnaire of psychosocial factors at work 2004 (Adapted) were applied. Data were analyzed with STATA 17. Results: The level of fear of COVID-19 and psychosocial factors have a weak positive correlation (Rho = 0.1349, p = 0.0248). The majority of employees (54.15%) presented low fear associated with a medium level of psychosocial factors present at work. The most frequent level of fear of COVID-19 was low (70.04%) and the psychosocial factors in greatest presence (77.26%) qualified as a medium level. Conclusions: Psychosocial factors are related to the level of fear of COVID-19, they qualified these factors for a medium level and fear as low, respectively. Other more associated variables were: gender, age, educational level and those linked to COVID-19 such as vaccination, contact, among others.
