Background: The COVID-19 pandemic caused a change in the profile of dental care. The Ministry of Health (MINSA) decreed measures aimed at preventing the spread of the virus in the dental care area. Objective: To determine the profile of dental care, according to the stages of life in the Piedra Liza Maternal and Child Health Center of the MINSA of Metropolitan Lima during the period from January to December of the year 2020. Methods and Materials: The study was observational, descriptive and transversal. The procedure was carried out in two phases. In the first, authorization was requested from the statistics and informatics area of the Piedra Liza Maternal and Child Health Center of MINSA, while in the second phase the records of the database were evaluated and filtered. Information related only to access to dental care was selected. Results: 12,215 dental cares were registered in the period studied. Of these, the greatest preventive care was face-to-face Oral Hygiene Instruction with 1712; the most frequent recuperative care was restoration with photopolymerizable resin with 247. When analyzing by life stages, it was found that non-specific and remote preventive care were the most frequent, thus presenting a common profile. Conclusion: In all stages of life, the most frequent care was of a non-specific preventive type and in a non-face-to-face manner.
