Background: In Peru, table salt is used as a fluoridation vehicle due to the multiplicity of sources and the diversity of water treatment systems for human consumption. However, water may contain fluoride but not in sufficient concentration to have a preventive action. The fact that there are different methods of fluoridation used for caries prevention can generate a risk of fluoride overdose, so it is necessary to control it as part of epidemiological surveillance. Objective: To evaluate the fluoride concentration of drinking water in 11 sectors of the jurisdiction of the Tahuantisuyo Bajo health center in the district of Independencia, Lima-Peru. Materials and methods: Descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional study. A secondary analysis was made of a database generated by a university academic department, containing the fluoride concentration values of 19 water samples collected in 11 houses located in the jurisdiction of the Tahuantinsuyo Bajo health center. The database was exported to the Stata V. 15.0 program. Exploratory data analysis was performed and a one-factor ANOVA test was used to determine if there are differences between sectors, with a confidence level of 95%. Results: The mean fluoride concentration in drinking water was 0,24 ppm, with a minimum range of 0,23 ppm and a maximum of 0,26 ppm. The standard deviation is 0,01 ppm. Conclusion: The water for human consumption in the jurisdiction of the Tahuantinsuyo Bajo health center had a low concentration of fluoride.
