The Covid-19 pandemic generated changes in our ways of living together, even more so in the teaching of health sciences, changing to a virtual modality that, added to the health crisis, generated changes in the quality of life of students, Therefore, the objective of the study was to evaluate the relationship between perceived stress, sleepiness and sleep quality in human medicine students from a private university in Metropolitan Lima who are studying online during 2021-II. The design was descriptive cross-sectional correlational, with mean ages of 21 ± 2.0 years of age. It was found, through the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (ICSP), the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESE) and the Perceived Stress Scale (EEP), that 59% perceive their sleep quality as quite bad, 80 % present daytime sleepiness and 64.8% present high distress and low eustress. Likewise, distress is directly related to sleepiness (r=0.226) and sleep quality (r=0.212), whereas eustress is inversely related to sleepiness (r=-0.261) and sleep quality (r= -0.237). In conclusion, 2021-II medical students present poor sleep quality, excessive sleepiness, high level of distress, and low eustress. These variables are related to each other and were associated with women (r=0.153), students aged 20-25 (r=0.224), higher academic load (r=0.272), first years of study (r=0.242) and higher consumption of coffee (r=0.235) to face sleep problems.
