One of the most frequent problems that organizations present in relation to millennial personnel is the high turnover or absenteeism of these young people, negatively influencing both the organization and its collaborators. Therefore, this documentary research has the general objective of analysing the theoretical impact of the factors that affect the behaviour of job turnover in the Millennial Generation. The specific objectives are to describe this behaviour, identify and classify the main causes that motivate it, investigate the current research designs most used for its study and analyse what strategies are being used to manage it. For this purpose, a review of the scientific, theoretical, and empirical documentary production of the last 5 years at the level of Latin America and Europe was carried out, analysing book chapters, scientific articles and qualitative, quantitative and mixed degree research published in indexed journals, recognized databases and digital repositories. The studies reviewed in the English and Spanish languages were selected and classified into categories for a better understanding of the subject. It was found that job turnover behaviour is produced by a phenomenon at the organizational level, where individual satisfaction plays a crucial role, mainly mediated by external job opportunities, age group and company category. However, it is important to understand that there are factors that are beyond the control of the company, such as personal, family or organizational shocks that the person decides not to accept. The lack of psychometric instruments on the subject in the region was highlighted, in addition to the main tools used to study this phenomenon: surveys, questionnaires and the turnover rate. As the main strategies currently used to address this problem, we have Madero's retention model, the endomarketing philosophy of Trujillo et al. and Ramírez's proposal, who highlights work based on labour values.
