The aim of this study was to determine the effects of adding polyunstarutated fatty acids (PUFA) as Sacha Inchi oil in semen extender in sperm survivability post-thaw and the effect equilibrium time pre-thaw in ovine sperm survivability. 4 Asblacks rams in reproductive age were used as sperm donors, in a 2 weekly collections regime for 5 weeks. All ejaculates were added in a pool, in order to eliminate individual differences. The sperm was divided in 4 aliquots: P0, P1, P2 and P3; each with 0%, 1%, 2.5% and 5% of Sacha Inchi oil respectively. TRIS-citrate-glucose (250.25 mM, 79.71mM y 9.99 mM), egg yolk 20%, glycerol 6% were used as semen extender. Methanol 0.05% was used as oil solvent. Glycerol was added at refrigeration temperature. Subjective and objective individual motility, viability, HOST and acrosome integrity were evaluated after thawing. The combination effect of 5% PUFA and 22 hours of equilibrium time had a tendency for increasing beneficial effects in some seminal after-thaw parameters
