The research sought to correlate the variables social support, family functionality and attachment, as factors related to the presence of adolescent pregnancy, in the city of Babahoyo-Ecuador, within the age range of 15 to 19 years. The study was carried out from the selection of a non-probabilistic sample for convenience; of 44 pregnant adolescents, included in the study ages, who attended gynecological check-ups at the Antonio Bastarrechea Maternity Hospital in the city of Babahoyo, Ecuador. And, of 84 valid controls who had never been pregnant, who studied in 3 participating educational institutions in the same town, in the Babahoyo, Annex and Replica Schools; counting in advance with the authorization of their Rectors, all within the same age range and prior to signing the informed consent. The research finds that the binary logistic regression model has as an explanatory variable of the adolescent pregnancy response, low maternal care in relation to high maternal care, with coefficients that reflect statistical significance. Meanwhile, no statistically significant relationship was found between the variables social support, and family functionality with adolescent pregnancy. In the descriptive part, a statistically significant relationship was found between attachment and adolescent pregnancy, and since it is a non-probabilistic sample for convenience, in adolescents from the city of Babahoyo-Ecuador, there is no room for extrapolation of its results.
