The general objective of this research was to know the relationship between a history of child violence, social tolerance towards violence against women and asymmetric decision-making in the couple, in people over 18 years of age in 4 departments of Peru. The level is basic, the type of research is non-experimental and cross-sectional, and its design is correlational. The sample was collected from the 2019 National Survey on Social Relations (ENARES) database, with data from Cusco, Lima, Callao and San Martín. The results show that 5 out of 10 participants had a history of childhood violence, that 46.8% of the total sample show a high tendency of social tolerance towards violence against women, and that 5 out of 10 people show asymmetric decision-making in your relationship. In addition, it was found that there is a significant, positive and very low relationship between a history of child violence and asymmetric decision-making in the couple (r = 0.205), however, there was not enough statistical evidence to ensure that a history of violence and social tolerance towards violence against women are related (r =0.108), nor to ensure that social tolerance towards violence against women and asymmetric decision-making in the couple are related (r =0.053).
