The objective of the Professional Sufficiency Work was to present a program whose purpose was to stimulate the cognitive function of attention in 5-year-old children in an initial educational institution in Lima. For this, the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for preschool and primary - III (Wppsi - III) was used, with the aim of determining the sample that participated in the attention stimulation program. This program was carried out in 2019 and was aimed at children with attention difficulties; the same one that lasted 6 consecutive months. Prior to the development of the program, a check sheet "Development of Attention" was used, an observation sheet (applied by the teacher), which were used in the pre test, post test and during the development of the program with the objective to perform monitoring. Finally, a significant advance was observed in the stimulation of attention in 5-year-old children from an institution in the district of La Molina; Similarly, a significant impact was considered in the stimulation of the levels of attention of the sustained and divided type; however, regarding selective attention, it was determined that this is in the process of development. These results were reflected in academic progress, as is the case with the development of school tasks and activities.
