Newcastle disease (NCD) and classical swine fever (CSF) are considered endemic and transboundary, being included in the list of notifiable diseases by the WHO due to their high mortality and morbidity. The impact of these diseases has been decreasing due to the control measures established by the National Agrarian Health Service. (SENASA). In this context, the aim of the study was to compare the spatial and temporal distribution of NCD and CSF during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic and to compare it with the years 2018-2019 (pre-pandemic). To do this, confirmed disease outbreaks recorded in SENASA's Weekly Epidemiological Bulletins were analyzed. It was evidenced that the highest proportion of outbreaks against NCD and CSF was the year 2018-2019, while it decreased considerably in the year of the Pandemic, 2020. It is concluded that the number of records of confirmed outbreaks of NCD and CSF decreased in the year 2020, which would be attributed to the maintenance of preventive activities such as prophylactic vaccinations and biosecurity measures imposed by SENASA despite the restrictions decreed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
