Digital scanners are increasingly available to orthodontic professionals, so it is necessary to evaluate their concordance considering the crowding conditions of the patients' arches, studies carried out so far have not evaluated intra (Omnicam ) and extraoral (InEosX and Nemoscan) with respect to the gold standard. The present study aims to establish the reliability of the NEMOSCAN, OMNICAM and INEOSX 3D digital systems for the measurement of teeth and dental arches with and without dental crowding. Digital impressions were made in the arches of 36 patients by two observers who had not previously used 3D scanners; 10 measurements were obtained from each one (nine patients grouped into four groups according to the level of crowding). After a training, each observer made his own impression. The concordance of the measurements between each digital system was evaluated with the gold standard with the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC). The results show that the averages of all the cases present a very high reliability for both the intraobserver measures and the interobserver measures (ICC˃0,800). In addition, the measurements of these two observers were compared with the one-way ANOVA test to determine the precision of the measurements without finding significant differences (p˂0,001). It has been established that the reliability of the NEMOSCAN, OMNICAM and INEOSX 3D digital systems for the measurement of teeth and dental arches with and without dental crowding is the same as the measurement performed with the gold standard using a manual digital caliper. The absence of crowding, as well as the presence of mild, moderate or severe crowding, does not constitute a factor that affects the reliability of the measurements.
