The objective of this research was to determine the characteristics that pedagogical accompaniment has presented according to the opinion of teachers from public educational institutions in Metropolitan Lima. The methodological approach used was quantitative with a simple descriptive study level, where the sample consisted of a total of 734 primary level teachers. Likewise, the data collection was carried out with the support of the ENEDU - 2018 survey, since it is a study of analysis of secondary sources. For this reason, the collection of information was carried out using the SPSS software in order to facilitate the understanding of the results through statistical tables that allow answering the research question. As a conclusion, it was obtained that the pedagogical accompaniment in public educational institutions during the year 2018 is regular, due to the fact that the participation of teachers is not permanent and added to this is the poor application of the characteristics that this process requires. Therefore, it can be said that there is still a problem to be solved since, by omitting certain phases, the reflective process is shortened and, therefore, improvements in teaching work that guarantee quality education are not promoted.
