The purpose of this Professional Sufficiency Work is to demonstrate the theoretical-practical abilities to evaluate, identify the problem and intervene, systematizing the work experience on a case study in a 15-year-old adolescent. The general objective was raised: Develop psychological resources that improve the emotional state of the consultant through Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy. Likewise, as specific objectives: Develop the ability to identify and manage emotions, increase self-acceptance of their strengths and weaknesses, develop the ability to identify and modify cognitive distortions, strengthen the ability to resolve conflicts, and provide psychoeducation to the parent. The intervention process consisted of 18 virtual sessions that were carried out under the Rational Emotive Behavioral approach. Results were monitored through an initial and final evaluation of the depression self-assessment scale, strengths and weaknesses record sheet, checklist, sadness and anger diary, thoughts record sheet, and interview. It is concluded that, at the end of the intervention, the consultant develops psychological resources, thus improving her emotional state, as well as being able to identify, analyze and manage the emotions of sadness and anger; likewise, being able to modify her irrational thoughts for other rational ones, as well as developing skills for problem solving and increases the recognition of her abilities. However, favorable results are not achieved in the intervention with the parent, generated by her absence to interventions.
