The objective of this research was to know the relationship between depression, impulsivity and Internet use in students of a private university in Lima-Metropolitana in 2018. For this, the study was approached from the quantitative approach, basic level and of descriptive-correlational type, its design was non-experimental, and cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 160 first-year students from a private university in Lima-Metropolitana, between men and women. The instruments used to measure the variables were: Beck's Depression Inventory (BDI-II), Kimberly Young's Internet Addiction Test (IAT) and Barratt's Impulsivity Test (BIS-11). The results revealed that there is a significant positive relationship and the strength of the correlation is moderate between the variables of Internet use and depression and impulsivity in first-year students, demonstrated with a Pearson coefficient of 0.326 among the study variables.
