The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between engagement and the perception of quality of professional life in the personnel of a health center in Chiclayo, as well as to identify its general levels, according to dimensions, working condition levels and to determine the relationship between the dimensions of both variables The type and design was non-experimental correlational; the instruments used were the Questionnaire for the Perception of Quality of Professional Life (CVP 35) and the Ultrech Scale for Engagement in the Workplace (UWES). The results indicated that there is a positive very low relationship between Engagement and Perception of professional quality of life. In engagement 61.7% was located in the average level, in perception of quality of professional life 90% in good level. In the dimensions, vigor, absorption and dedication the highest percentage were located on average, in the dimensions of intrinsic motivation 58.3% excellent level, managerial support 83.3%, good, in demand of work 78.3%, regular. According to levels of engagement, doctors, nurses, nursing technicians, administrative staff, were located at average and high average levels; in perception quality of professional life, the highest percentages in the good level. Very low, low and moderate relationships were found between the dimensions of both variables.
