The fundamental purpose of the research was to know the relationship between academic procrastination (PA) and anxiety levels (NA) in university students of the 1st and 2nd cycle of a faculty of a private university in the city of Jaén 2017. For this, a correlational design was used in a population of 80 students in whom the Academic Procrastination Scale (EPA) adapted by Domínguez (2014) and the Zung Self-Assessment Anxiety Scale (EAA) were applied. The results show that there is a very low and direct correlation between both variables since a correlation coefficient r = 0.179 was obtained. Similarly, 38% of those who obtained low postponement of activities had a normal level of anxiety and 33.8% who had low academic self-regulation had moderate anxiety.
