The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between Attachment Styles and State-Trait Anxiety in 97 Computer Engineering students from a private university in Lima. The type of research is basic, descriptive and correlational, the sample is simple random probabilistic and the instruments applied included the Questionnaire for Internal Models of Adult Attachment Relationships - reduced version (CAMIR-R) and the Anxiety Inventory, Trait-State (IDARE). The data analysis techniques used included the canonical correlation coefficient and the Spearman correlation. The results found a low (0.367) and statistically significant (0.02) correlation at p <0.05 between Attachment Styles and Trait Anxiety. On the other hand, between Attachment Styles and State Anxiety, no statistically significant correlations (0.39) were found at p <0.05. Specifically, low and statistically significant correlations were found between Insecure-Worried, Insecure-Avoidant and Insecure-Disorganized Attachment Styles with the Trait Anxiety variable, but not with the State Anxiety variable. Regarding the Secure Attachment Style, no significant correlation was found with State-Trait Anxiety.
