Background: Biosafety is a group of standards and measures designed to maintain control of occupational risk factors. Health personnel are one of the most vulnerable groups due to the direct contact they have with the patient. Within this group are the radiology medical technologists who work in the area of computed tomography, fulfilling a fundamental role in the diagnostic support of different diseases. Thanks to the great contribution that computed tomography provides, there is a greater flow of studies carried out that lead to greater exposure with patients. Therefore, it is essential to know the biosecurity measures. Objective: To determine the Level of Knowledge of the Medical Radiology Technologist about Biosafety in the area of Computed Tomography in Metropolitan Lima 2020. Materials and method: Cross-sectional descriptive study that evaluated the population of Medical Radiology Technologists from Metropolitan Lima who meet the inclusion criteria. A questionnaire validated by expert judgment was used as an instrument, which was sent to a social network (Facebook). Results: It was determined that 21.4% obtained a high level of knowledge, 62.5% of the Medical Radiology Technologists obtained a medium level of knowledge, and 16.1% presented a low level of knowledge. Conclusions: In the study, the majority of Medical Radiology Technologists in the area of Computed Tomography possess a medium level of knowledge about biosafety.
