Background: Burnout Syndrome is defined as a long-term stress response related to the work environment. It is composed of three dimensions: emotional exhaustion, which values the experience of being emotionally exhausted by the demands of work; depersonalization, which estimates the degree to which everyone recognizes their negative attitudes in the workplace; and personal fulfillment which includes negative trends when evaluating their work. Globally, this syndrome affects health professionals, taking into account that physiotherapists have a high probability of professional burnout due to the nature of their work. Objective: To determine the frequency of Burnout Syndrome in physiotherapists of Metropolitan Lima in the state of emergency during December 2020. Methods and Materials: A descriptive cross-sectional analysis was performed on a sample made up of 57 physiotherapists. For data collection, a sociodemographic file and the Maslach Burnout Inventory were used. Results: It was found that 1.7% of the physiotherapists presented burnout syndrome. Conclusion: Burnout Syndrome frequency found in this study is the same as previous studies at the national level, in spite of the health emergency state by COVID-19.
