Introduction: The work-family conflict is generated by the incompatibility of performing harmoniously the family and work role. The “SWING” questionnaire is currently used to evaluate it; however, it is not validated in Ecuadorian workers. Objective: To carry out a cultural and psychometric validation of the “SWING” questionnaire in workers of an automotive company, Ecuador 2018-2019. Methodology: validation study executed in 220 workers of an automotive, the cultural adaptation was performed through expert judgment and psychometric properties were checked through the validity of content, criteria, construct, internal consistency and test-retest. Results: Aiken's V varied between 0.96-0.99 indicating a high degree of agreement between the judges. A correlation was found between the occupational interview with the negative (r = 0.76; p <0.01) and positive dimensions of the questionnaire (r = -0.62; p <0.01); factorial analysis extracted four dimensions that explained 75% of the variance (factor loads between 0.63- 0.87). Cronbach's alpha varied between 0.86-0.94 and test-retest coefficients were between 0.89-0.99 (p <0.01). Conclusions: The “SWING” questionnaire is valid and reliable for use in workers in the automotive sector of Ecuador.
