Integrated environmental educational projects (IEEP) are defined as an environmental education (EE) methodology capable of being integrated into various curricular areas to promote the development of environmental awareness (EA) and achieve sustainable environmental development. Given the above, the need arises to analyze the current state of the development of IEEP in the Public Initial Educational Institutions of the Local Educational Management Unit 04 Comas-Peru. For this, two categories were established: teaching knowledge about the IEEP and application of the PEAI. The research assumes a qualitative approach of an intrinsic study type of typical cases with a descriptive level of scope. Then, through intentional non-probabilistic sampling, five preschool teachers were selected to whom a semi-structured interview with twelve questions was applied. Subsequently, data triangulation was carried out through a rigorous and simultaneous process of open, axial and selective coding. Finally, it was concluded that preschool teachers are unaware of the six types of IEEP of the MINEDU, making it evident with their narratives that they only apply the most common type of IEEP called Waste Management. However, it highlights the fact that teachers, during the children's stay at school, have been applying didactic strategies in EE that have demonstrated effectiveness in the development of EA. In addition, they highlight the importance that environmental teaching-learning must consider the entire educational community for better results.
