Real estate rentals offered by natural persons in Peru are an item that is difficult to control for the Tax Administration, consequently, its inspection becomes a complex task, which is reflected in a large number of informal landlords, a situation that generates a lower collection of the corresponding tax, in that order of ideas, the investigation focused on the landlords of the district of Puente Piedra, since it is one of the districts of the Northern Cone with the greatest demand for rental of properties, as well as, it presents an influx considerable number of migrants, whose essential need is to rent housing. Therefore, the main objective of the study is to determine the incidence of tax inspection towards property lessors in the district of Puente Piedra in 2021, on tax collection. The methodology was based on explanatory research, as well as, within the framework of a quantitative approach, the survey technique was applied to collect data, with the questionnaire as a collection instrument. In the general finding, it was found that tax inspection towards property lessors has a significant and positive influence on tax collection, since a significance value of less than 0.05 was obtained and it reached a beta coefficient of +0.78. Consequently, if property lessors had greater tax oversight, this fact would cause an increase in tax collection.
