Nivel de conocimiento de madres sobre loncheras saludables y estado nutricional de preescolares de la Institución Educativa Privada John F. Kennedy - 2023

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento de madres sobre loncheras saludables y el estado nutricional de preescolares de la I.E.P John F. Kennedy - 2023 Material y método: Enfoque cuantitativo de diseño correlacional y transversal. La población la conformaron 48 madres. El instrumento empleado fue un cuestionario validado sobre el nivel de conocimiento de loncheras saludables. Resultados: Se encontró que existe relación significativa entre el conocimiento materno sobre loncheras saludables y el estado nutricional de los niños preescolares. Además, sobre el nivel de conocimiento de las madres encuestadas se pudo evidenciar que el 87,5% tienen conocimiento alto, 8,3% conocimiento medio y el 4,2% conocimiento bajo. Al valorar el estado nutricional de los preescolares, se observa que el 77,1% tienen un estado nutricional normal; 4,2% con desnutrición, un 14,6% y 4,2% tienen sobrepeso y obesidad, respectivamente. Conclusiones: Existe relación significativa entre el nivel de conocimiento de las madres sobre las loncheras saludables y el estado nutricional de sus niños.

Objective: To determine the relationship between maternal knowledge of healthy lunchboxes and nutritional status of preschoolers at John F. Kennedy Educational Institution – 2023. Materials and Methods: Quantitative approach with a correlational and cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 48 mothers. The applied instrument was a validated questionnaire on the level of knowledge of healthy lunchboxes. Results: A significant relationship was found between maternal knowledge of healthy lunchboxes and the nutritional status of preschool children. Furthermore, regarding the knowledge level of the surveyed mothers, it was evident that 87.5% have high knowledge, 8.3% have moderate knowledge, and 4.2% have low knowledge. Evaluating the nutritional status of preschoolers, it is observed that 77.1% have a normal nutritional status; 4.2% are undernourished, 14.6% are overweight, and 4.2% are obese, respectively. Conclusions: There is a significant relationship between the mothers' level of knowledge about healthy lunchboxes and the nutritional status of their children.
