The main objective of this study is to determine to what extent the Finale 2014 Software, as a didactic resource, improves musical reading in the members of the music band of the I.E.A. Marino A. Meza Rosales, Huanuco 2023. According to the nature and characteristics of the research, it was designed as an experimental study with a quantitative approach, pre-experimental design and explanatory level. The census sample consisted of 12 members of the music band of the I.E.A. Marino A. Meza Rosales I.E.A., enrolled in the school. Meza Rosales, enrolled during the 2023 academic year. The intervention was organized in twelve learning sessions. A 12-question observation guide was used to evaluate the dependent variable before and after the intervention. The observation guide was validated by expert judgment and its reliability was determined by Cronbach’s alpha, obtaining a value of 0.91. The results of the intervention showed a significant difference in music reading in the experimental group (p_value = 0.002 < 0.05). Improvements were achieved in rhythmic reading (p_value = 0.002 < 0.05), spoken reading (p_value = 0.002 < 0.05) and intoned reading (p_value = 0.005 < 0.05) of music reading in the members of the music band. In conclusion, the research verified that the application of the finale 2014 software as a teaching resource improved musical reading by 19% in general.
