Abstract: La presente investigación tiene por objetivo principal, identificar los determinantes de la informalidad laboral en la región La Libertad periodo 2017 – 2021.Dado que, la informalidad laboral es un problema social que cada día se encuentra latente en cada región del país, se debe realizar investigaciones de este tipo con mayor frecuencia. En el desarrollo de la investigación, se empezó estableciendo la base de datos, los cuales fueron los registros de la Encuesta Nacional de Hogares del Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática de los años 2017 - 2021. Posteriormente, se realizó el procesamiento de la información; para finalmente concluir que los determinantes de la informalidad laboral en la región La Libertad periodo 2017 – 2021, son la edad, el nivel educativo, el área geográfica y el tamaño de la empresa. Asimismo, los determinantes de la edad, el nivel educativo y el tamaño de la empresa, tienen una relación indirecta con la informalidad laboral. Mientras que, el área geográfica, demuestra el por qué se manifiesta el incremento.
