The current analysis work describes the implementation of a Total Productive Maintenance for the equipment of the carton beverage production line, with the aim of reducing downtime, increasing the availability and therefore the productivity of carton containers in GRACO S.A. To meet the objective, information was collected on the number of equipment failures and the causes that generate the low productivity of the carton packaging line using the Ishikawa and Pareto diagram tool, where the implementation of a Plan of Total Productive Maintenance would increase the current productivity of the carton packaging line, which is 67.01% on average. The implementation consists of 4 stages: Preparation, Introduction, Implementation and Consolidation, where the implementation period was 4 months. In Preparation it was necessary to involve and make management aware that the implementation of the TPM would increase productivity, in the same way in Introduction, the TPM was presented to all interested parties. In Implementation, the registration and failure analysis formats began to be designed, and a training schedule was carried out. For the autonomous maintenance program, the inspection, lubrication, cleaning, material requirements, work order formats were designed and applied, as well as a planned maintenance program, indicating the periods to intervene in the equipment. The result was a decrease in the number of failures from 85 failures to 29 and an increase in productivity from 67.01% to 85.53%. The implementation resulted in a positive VAN of S/. 30,481.47 and an IRR of 33% higher than the rate of 10% that was considered. These indicators tell us that the project is feasible and beneficial for the entity under study.
