ABSTRACT This research work analyzes the incidence of public investment on child morbidity through indicators of acute diarrheal diseases and acute respiratory infections in La Libertad from 2000 to 2021. Using quantitative analysis as a methodology, with a non-experimental design of longitudinal scope of descriptive and correlational type is considered. to describe the evolution of public investment in sanitation and the evolution of morbidity in children in La Libertad. With the econometric estimation with the method of least squares, we find that the incidence relationship is inverse, demonstrating that when there is an increase of one million soles in that public investment in sanitation. reduces child morbidity by 690 measured through childcare for children. Under 5 years of age, insofar as the interventions are directly applied to the areas of influence in relation to the level of sanitation infrastructure gaps, which directly influences the sector. It is suggested to prioritize interventions in the sanitation sector to prevent and reduce morbidity care in children.
