The present research report aims to establish the relationship between family support and depression in elderly adults with cancer who attend the Northern Regional Institute of Neoplastic Diseases in Trujillo, 2024. The research method is a quantitative, prospective approach with a non-experimental, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 150 elderly adults. Two instruments were used: the Yesavage Geriatric Depression Scale and the Leiton Family Support Assessment Scale. The results were processed using SPSS statistical package version 27, presented in simple and double-entry tables. The conclusions were as follows: 48% of the elderly do not have depression, 32% have mild depression, and 20% have established depression. Additionally, 62% of the elderly have a high degree of family support, 31% have a moderate degree of family support, and 7% have a low degree of family support. Spearman's Rho Correlation Coefficient was used to analyze the relationship between the degree of family support and the level of depression in the elderly, yielding a significance value of p=0.00, indicating a highly significant result
