ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to determine the influence of early pregnancy on the onset of early cohabitation in adolescents hospitalized in the Gynecology-Obstetrics service of the Hospital Belén de Trujillo. The study is qualitative and quantitative, using both the statistical method and the phenomenological method; the latter made it possible to understand the feelings and experiences of each of the adolescents and how they perceive their situation. In other words, it made it possible to acquire subjective, direct information from each of them. The study population consisted of 15 adolescents between 10 and 19 years of age, living together, to whom a survey and a short interview with complementary questions were applied. The results obtained showed that early pregnancy does indeed have a significant influence on the decision to start cohabitation at an early age, with 73% of the adolescents in the study confirming that pregnancy became one of the main reasons for the union.
