This present research aims to demonstrate that the “Great Readers” program, through the task-based learning method, influences the improvement of English reading comprehension among third-grade secondary students at the I.E Rafael Narváez Cadenillas, Trujillo 2024. The research type is applied with a quantitative approach and a quasi-experimental design. The technique used was the survey, and the instrument was the test, composed of 12 items related to the dimensions of the dependent variable, English reading comprehension. The sample included 58 students, divided into two groups: 29 in section "C" as the experimental group and 29 in section "E" as the control group. To analyze the data, the T-Student statistical test was used to assess the significant difference between the means, obtaining a significance level of p*=0.000 < 0.05, which led to the rejection of the null hypothesis and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. After implementing the program, 6.9% of students were at the beginning level, 27.6% were in progress, 48.3% reached the expected achievement level, and 17.2% were at the outstanding achievement level. The results concluded that the “Great Readers” program influences the improvement of English reading comprehension among secondary level students.
