Abstract: La investigación de tipo básica descriptiva – correlacional; se realizó en el Policlínico
El Porvenir, Trujillo, de mayo del 2022 hasta octubre del 2023, con el objetivo de determinar
la relación que existe entre el nivel de apoyo familiar con el nivel de depresión presentado
en los adultos mayores pertenecientes al Programa del Adulto Mayor. El Porvenir 2022. La
muestra estuvo conformada por 176 adultos mayores. Para la recolección de datos se utilizo
el cuestionario de apoyo familiar y escala de depresión en adultos mayores. Los resultados
se presentaron en tablas de una y doble entrada, de forma numérica y porcentual. Para
determinar el tipo de relación que existe entre las variables se usó la prueba tau b de kendall.
Del análisis se concluyó que: el mayor porcentaje de adultos mayores tiene un grado alto
apoyo familiar con un 41.5 por ciento, mientras que, el 18.8 por ciento un grado bajo apoyo
familiar. El 11.9 por ciento de adultos mayores su nivel de depresión es establecida, y el 46.6
por ciento de adultos mayores su nivel de depresión es normal. Y que existe relación negativa
entre el grado de apoyo familiar y el nivel de depresión con (valor tau b de Kendall de -0.245
con probabilidad 0.000 siendo altamente significativo).
The present research is of a basic descriptive – correlational type; It was carried out at the El Porvenir Polyclinic, Trujillo, from May 2022 to October 2023, with the aim of determining the relationship between the level of family support and the level of depression presented in older adults belonging to the Older Adult Program. And that there is a negative relationship between the degree of family support and the level of depression with (Kendall's tau b value of -0.245 with probability 0.000 being highly significant).
