Objective: Determine the trend of laboratory tests before, during and after the COVID-19 pandemic in the pathological anatomy department of the Eleazar Guzmán Barrón Regional Hospital, Áncash – Peru. Material and methods: The object of the study was made up of the monthly and annual information generated by the laboratories of the pathological anatomy department of the Eleazar Guzmán Barrón regional hospital (EGB) from January 2017 to June 2023. The methodology used, for the statistical analysis was based on autoregressive and moving average models (ARIMA), identifying the stationarity of the series through trend graphs; The Ljung-Box test was performed to test the independence of the identified series and estimation periods; In the identification of the model, the T-student test was used for the significance of the coefficients, to finally estimate the 6-month prognoses and their respective 95% confidence intervals. Results: The total number of tests performed by the laboratories of the pathological anatomy department was 3,394,173 (Table 1), distributed in biochemical (907,956), hematological (650,742), bacteriological (316,736), immunoserological (133,651), parasitological (27,528), histopathological (11,618) and cytological (4,981), also considering the blood bank (340,961) for its participation in screening tests. On the other hand, when comparing the periods in relation to the pandemic, we have that the tests performed before and during the pandemic they were 1,228,040 (51.28%) and 1,166,133 (48.72%) respectively. Conclusions: The trends and frequencies were different between the laboratory tests before and during the covid-19 pandemic, while the predictions of the laboratory tests after the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the proposed models, were negative, for the tests biochemical (ARIMA 1,0,0) and hematological (ARIMA 1,0,0); positive, for bacteriological (ARIMA 1,1,0), immunoserological (ARIMA 0,1,0), parasitological (ARIMA 1,0,0), histopathological (ARIMA 0,1,3) and cytological (ARIMA 1, 0.0), while for the blood bank (ARIMA 1,1,1), no trends were presented since they became constant.
