Abstract: Este estudio planteó como finalidad conocer los principales determinantes del desarrollo económico y social en la Región La Libertad, periodo 2010 – 2020, por lo que a nivel específico se analizó la evolución histórica de sus principales determinantes, así como la elaboración de un modelo econométrico de dicha tendencia. Como materiales del estudio se consideró las series económicas de dichos indicadores, contemplando como principales determinantes a seis de ellos; el PBI desde el ámbito económico y cinco del aspecto social [Tasa de analfabetismo, Acceso a un seguro de salud, Violencia familiar y sexual, Índice de morbilidad, Tasa de desempleo], utilizando como técnica de recolección de datos el análisis documental con información oficial proporcionada por instituciones como Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas, Instituto Nacional de Estadística de informática, Banco Central de Reserva del Perú, Gobierno Regional de La Libertad, entre otras. Como conclusiones del estudio, se identificaron que los principales determinantes económicos presentaron un incremento favorable, a excepción del año 2020 que fue un año atípico a raíz de la pandemia del coronavirus, mientras que los determinantes sociales no han sido muy favorables para la región dado que en la mayoría de los casos se ha presentado una retracción.
ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the main determinants of economic and social development in the region of La Libertad, period 2010 - 2020, so at a specific level, the historical evolution of its main indicators was analyzed, as well as the development of an econometric model of this trend. As materials for the study, the economic series of these indicators were considered, considering six of them as the main determinants; the GDP from the economic point of view and five in the social aspect [Illiteracy rate, Access to health insurance, Family and sexual violence, Morbidity rate, Unemployment rate], using documentary analysis with official information provided by institutions such as the Ministry of Economy and Finance, National Institute of Statistics and Informatics, Central Reserve Bank of Peru, Regional Government of La Libertad, among others, as data collection technique. The study concluded that the main economic indicators showed a favorable increase, with the exception of 2020, which was an atypical year due to the coronavirus pandemic, while the social indicators have not been very favorable for the region, given that in most cases there has been a retraction.
