This research aims to determine the relationship between user experience design and customer satisfaction used by self-service checkouts in a retail, Trujillo 2022. The methodology used had a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, correlational level, cross-sectional and the sample consisted of 108 users of self-service boxes to whom a 20- item questionnaire was applied for data collection. The results showed that with respect to the design of user experience, 7.41% are detractors, indicating that they would avoid the use of self-service boxes, 37.96% are passive, indicating that the use of this platform is indifferent to them and 54.63% are promoters indicating that they would use these boxes and promote their use to other customers; on the other hand, 8.33% show dissatisfaction with the use of self-service checkouts, 37.04% are satisfied and 54.63% are satisfied with what can be inferred that the use of self-service boxes positively exceeds their expectations. Finally, a Spearman's Rho of 0.851 and a p-value of 0.00 were obtained, with which it can be concluded that the relationship between user experience design and customer satisfaction is positive, high and statistically significant, so it can be inferred that an improvement in user experience design would positively improve customer satisfaction.
