The objective of this work is to design and implement a SCADA system with remote monitoring and early warning of flow, pressure and level variables in the pumping stations and reservoirs belonging to the drinking water service provider of the city of Trujillo, being an engineering project research and developed following the VDI 2206 standard. It began by identifying the technical and functional requirements of the system, based on information gathering to generate the optimal communication system solution concept. This was followed by the engineering development, which involved the design of mechanical drawings, electrical drawings and data network to the SCADA system. Once the engineering stage was finished, we proceeded with the start-up for the execution of the mechanical and electrical works. After having all the equipment correctly connected and energized, the local acquisition stage of the field variables in the Telemetry Router began, based on the reception and processing of all the signals (through modbus protocols and 4-20mA signal) and execution of the VPN link with the central server to send data by GPRS through the TCP/IP protocol. Then, in the control room, the graphic interface was developed using Fast Tools software, creating operation screens belonging to the 6 remote stations: Miguel de la Cuba, Florencia de Mora, Pesqueda, Rv Gemelos, Rv Nuevo Pesqueda and Rv Chicago. Next, the variables (Tag's) of flow, pressure and level belonging to each station were integrated and the design and implementation of the system was validated with the proposed quality control. Finally, the integration of the 6 remote stations in the SCADA system was obtained, showing the flow, pressure and level variables in real time process diagrams, as well as trend screens and visualization of the historical values with an average latency period of connection between the remote station and the control room in the average range of 160 to 1852ms.
