This document is a Professional Proficiency Work carried out in order to obtain the Bachelor of Education's degree. In a dynamic and engaging English class adapted for third-grade secondary students, we embarked on an insightful journey through the art of expressing fears in the English language. This session was particularly designed to align with Competency 3 of the Ministry of Education's curriculum, which focuses on enabling students to compose diverse texts in English. The central topic of the class was "What are you afraid of?" – a topic that reproduces with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Throughout the session, students were encouraged to share their personal fears, fostering a sense of inclusion and promoting open communication. The primary objective of the class was to cultivate Achievement 2, which involves producing written English texts that are both coherent and fluent. By using a carefully structured plan, students were introduced to relevant vocabulary associated with fears and were guided in the use of grammatical structures necessary for effective expression. The class featured interactive elements, including vocabulary exercises, sentence formation activities, and writing tasks. The highlight of the session was a writing exercise where students, working individually, composed a short paragraph about their own fears. This practical application of newly acquired knowledge allowed students to develop their skills in a tangible manner. In conclusion, this class not only provided a platform for students to delve into the realm of expressing fears but also equipped them with essential language tools for effective communication. The session's adherence to the Ministry of Education's guidelines underscored its educational value, making it a pivotal step in the students' journey towards linguistic proficiency and self-expression in the English language.
