The present investigation took place in the city of Tumbes. The objective was to estimate the level of risk due to river flooding through hydrological and hydraulic modeling from the Pan-American Drain to the Romero Inlet. The development of the research used a non-experimental, transversal and descriptive design, the sampling was non-probabilistic for convenience, the data collection was carried out primarily with the documentary review technique, the instrument used was the data collection form, to analyze descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. The problem of risk due to river flooding becomes relevant due to the increase in danger in Tumbes due to anomalous precipitation phenomena that produce large flows that flood the northern area of Peru, such as Cyclone Yaku in 2023, hence the importance of having updated information. of the risk of the most affected areas. The risk due to river flooding is predominantly High with 61.16 % of the total blocks, while the danger is high with 41.84 % of the total area of the study area and the vulnerability is very high with 77.55 % of the total blocks. It is concluded that the level of risk due to river flooding through hydrological and hydraulic modeling is High from the Pan-American Drain to the Romero Inlet in Tumbes.
