ABSTRACT The present thesis work is based on the basic knowledge developed in the course of Hydrology. In addition, along the way forward, the need has arisen to complement basin geomorphology and statistical methods applied to hydrology. The objective of this study was to show the versatility and practicality of each of the three models. It is a study whose information will be valuable when generating hydrological forecasts and knowing risk scenarios to carry out the required prevention actions or generation of infrastructure works for future projects, once the population is already alerted of the latent danger and can be oriented to undertake actions to reduce the associated adverse effects. The methodology used to perform the thesis consisted of the delimitation and finding the parameters of the basin, which was used ArcGIS software, then the selection of the influence stations according to the Thiessen polygons was made. Subsequently, the data of each station was searched for atypical data and the maximum rainfall was found in 24 hours for the last 39 available years. Then the best probabilistic adjustment was selected using the Tes of kolmogorov - Smirnov and the mean square error. In addition, the vegetation cover and the type of soil present in the basin were identified, in order to determine the curve number, IDF curves were also created for return periods of 50, 100 and 500 respectively, Hydrograms and hietograms were elaborated with the Software HEC - HMS, and to be able to find the maximum flow rates of 151.5 m3 / s, 172.7 m3 / s and 231 m3 / s, for the different return periods mentioned; Flows of 106.37 m3 / s, 139.53 m3 / s and 209.68 m3 / s were also calculated; for the rational method as well as for the triangular synthetic hydrograph of the SCS of 106.62 m3 / s, 139.53 m3 / s and 209.41 m3 / s. I come to the conclusion, of the three hydrological models; the H.U. SNEYDER using the HEC-HMS Software shows the maximum flow rates above the rational method and the Triangular Unit Hydrogram of the SCS.
