ABSTRACT The investigation was aimed at. Determine the influence of animal welfare on chicken quality 'Line COBB 500' under two production systems (Conventional and Automated), at the Chiquitoy feed center of the company Chimú Agropecuaria S.A. the type of investigation by its orientation is applied, by the technique of contrast was correlational, the design of non-experimental research, a sample of 270 was used for conventional production and 390 for automated production, as instruments were used observation sheets which obtained the following results: in the conditions of power and water, in the automated system has reached good conditions 91.7%, in the conventional system reached its highest percentage 75% of good conditions in the second week. Accommodation conditions, automated system reached good conditions with the exception of the third week that only reached 16.7%, in the conventional system only reached good conditions in the second and third week reaching 67.7%. The health of the birds, in the conventional system as in the automated one, reached good health conditions with the exception of the third week. The behavior of the workers with the birds has shown adequate behavior except for the sixth week there was inappropriate behavior. In the volume of birds discarded for not complying with the principles of welfare and quality, in the conventional system-STD reached its maximum percentage variation, 0.596 in the fourth week and its lowest percentage variation 0.087, in the first week. In the automated system-STD reached its maximum variation 0.469 in the fourth week and its minimum percentage variation in -0.015 in the first week. The evaluation of lesions of a total of 270 birds 263 walk well and none of the birds move with serious difficulty. In the automated system of 390 birds, 381 walk well. The hypothesis was tested by demonstrating that animal welfare significantly influences chicken quality, reducing the volume of birds discarded for consumption, in the conventional system and in the automated system.
